Lonny and Jabu: A future from fruit and vegetables

The second book in the Lonny and Jabu series is called, “A future from fruit and vegetables”. As mentioned before, African Honey Bee received funding in 2017 to run a Schools Awareness Programme from the Hans Hoheisen Trust. The programme, in partnership with Sappi creates awareness amongst school children in the Kwambonambi area about the dangers of honey hunting, and uncontrolled fires. However, in this booklet Lonny and Jabu learn how to build a tower garden which is a effective method of growing a vegetable garden with little, and grey water, and plant a fruit tree that, in actual fact, bares fruit. The storybooks are created by Elize Ferreira - an Early Childhood Development student at the University of Pretoria.

You are welcome to download a free copy of “A future from fruit and vegetables” here
